With the ArchiWall add-on, you can add "overlaid-structures" to normalArchiCAD walls, transforming simple prismatic blocks into multiform constructionelements.
The elements created are single instances of a library part which interacts with the add-on, but can also be used independently, although with some limitations.
This allows you, for example, to send your project to a colleague who does not have ArchiWall, without the risk of supplying him with an incomplete image.
You just have to remember to send him the ArchiWall library as well, or to save the project in Archive format.
The element created by ArchiWall has all the geometric characteristics of the original wall, including trims to roofs and openings created for doors and windows. The object maintains a link with the original wall, with the possibility of automatic (in real time) or manual updating, but the link is not binding. Unlike ArchiCAD "Accessories" objects, ArchiWall objects can remain present and functional, even if you decide to delete the wall used to create them.

Work method
ArchiSketchy is very easy to use, simply select the drawing to be transformed (whether it is from the plan, Section/Elevation window, or 3D) and choose, from the ArchiSketchy menu, the type of transformation desired.
In the dialogue window of ArchiSketchy, there is the possibility of choosing between seven different transformation styles, where the pens, lines, fills and text of each of these transformations can be personalised by the user.
In addition, there is the possibility of choosing which element types to convert, the minimum size of the transformed lines and the layer on which the elaborated drawing will be positioned, as well as a series of settings that once personalized, can be saved and recalled at any time.

Installing this Hotfix is necessary to run EcoDesigner for ArchiCAD 12.
The Hotfix updates all add-ons shipped by Graphisoft. This includes installed goodie tools.
Important to ALL TeamWork Users - All teammates should sign out of the project and exit AC before applying the patch. All teammates should then upgrade to the same build number before signing back into the project. Problems could arise if this care is not taken.
Mac OS X Leopard (10.5) users - installation troubleshooting: The installer should run normally for the vast majority of users. If the installer cannot complete the update process, then there is likely a problem with the access permissions for the files in your ArchiCAD 12 application folder. Make sure that you are installing from an administrator account and have Read/Write permission to all files installed in the ArchiCAD folder. This includes all third party add-ons and libraries.



Install steps:

Download the Hotfix by clicking on the file name on the previous page.
Exit ArchiCAD before you start the installer.
Make sure that you have administrator rights on your computer.
Make sure that components of your ArchiCAD installation were not renamed. The Hotfix will not reinstall missing components and will ignore components that are renamed.
If ArchiCAD was installed while connected to a network, make sure you are connected to the same network. This is especially important for laptops.
Double-click on the downloaded file to start the installer. To run the installer, Java version 6 has to be installed on your computer. You can install Java version 6 from your original ArchiCAD install CD.
Follow the instructions of the wizard to complete the installation.
