Has it really been 14 years since the freaky, full-sized, mutant turtles graced us with the presence on the silver screen? Yeppers, the last time I saw them it was in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III (I’m not counting television cartoons or straight-to-DVD titles). I’m obviously out of the loop since a great deal of many things have changed. Not necessarily for the better either — our teenage mutant ninja turtle friends have fallen a long way from the insanely, original black and white independent comic books I grew up with. And even though Eastman and Laird, the original creators, are still writing the stories, there isn’t much to like anymore. Maybe they should think about retiring on the millions they’ve already amassed.

He'll leave the hero stuff to district attorney Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart) and stop the DA from moving in on Rachel Dawes (feisty Maggie Gyllenhaal, in for sweetie Katie Holmes), the lady love who is Batman's only hope for a normal life.

Essentially the movie is a cinematic version of the ACT test. Except instead of those pointless prep courses for which anxious parents shell out tons of dollars only for their teens to be told to guess if they don't know the answer-- a viewer well-versed in film noir figures they'll be more than prepared for The Perfect Sleep no guessing required.

PLOT SUMMARY
Bruce Nolan is a television reporter, who is currently assigned what he considers to be undignified assignments, that has him being the butt of a joke. When he is told that he is being considered for the position of anchorman, he goes out to do a live feed but when it is announced that Evan Baxter was going to be the new anchorman, and he freaks out. He gets fired, beaten up, and so on. In the end he blames God. God then decides to give Bruce his powers. Bruce then wreaks havoc and is enjoying it. He sabotages Evan and gets the job of anchorman. But when he realizes that he has to deal with what has got to be God's most arduous task, listening and answering prayers. When he tries to grant everybody what they want, turmoil ensues. And while Bruce is getting everything he wants, he has been ignoring his girlfriend, Grace and loses her. And it seems that the only thing that he can't do, is alter a person's free will, so if he wants her back, he has to do it the hard way.

The Dark Knight is a 2008 superhero film directed and co-written by Christopher Nolan.
